We Were Robbed! No Shows This Week
So, let me begin by stating both my wife and I are ok. We never saw the person or persons who robbed us. However, both of our computers, including the one I use to produce this show were stolen. Here’s what happened.
As most of you know, we were in California for both the Netroots Nation conference and a friend’s wedding. The conference went great, the wedding went great. Amazing times were had. On Sunday, we check out of our hotel, pack all of our stuff in the trunk of our rental car, and head into San Francisco with some friends for lunch. We park at a meter on a busy street, and leave the car for about three hours.
When we return, nothing at all seems out of the ordinary, we then head to return the rental car at the airport. When we open the trunk to get our bags we find that, yes, we were, indeed, robbed.
HELP GET THE SHOW BACK ON THE AIR!
They stole my backpack, which had my computer that I use to produce the show, as well as my very nice and expensive Zoom H4N recorder, which I had used to record a couple of weeks worth of upcoming interviews at Netroots Nation. (I’m very upset you guys won’t be able to hear them!)
They also took Kate’s bag which had her Mac Book as well as some other items including our car keys, which, we found out, are crazy expensive to replace.
So, here’s the bottom line. Without a computer, I cannot produce the show. We’re working on being back next week, but if there ever was a time for you to support the show by becoming a member or making a one time donation, this is it.
